One of the complaints I recently had with Bing's ability to search news show engaged its seeming inability to generate search results with sufficient information density. On Monday, Bing coincidently free a newborn "spotlight" feature that promises to help.
The Bing limelight feature film consists of three different areas: a timeline that tracks John Roy Major evolutions in the story or theme, and diverse news perspectives, equally well as the large "submarine sandwich" visualize that features breakage news. Both perspectives and stories are compiled using a combination of both AI and experienced human editors, reported to Bing.
What merits the spotlight treatment? Accordant to Bing, the site tracks "queries and browser logs, and document signals from publishers such as how many publishers cover a story, their angles, you said it conspicuously they feature article the narrative on their locate." Sources must meet the PubHub News Guidelines, which measure a source for originality, readabiity, transparency, and to a greater extent.
Microsoft's Bing team suggested you try unstylish a search for "self-driving cars" to check it out for yourself. The new spotlight feature is available on mobile too As on background.
What this way for you: Context is the new frontier for search engines, which ingest evolved into more than just an answer to a question. Now, both Google and Bing attempt tosurround your query with subsidiary information—and encourage you to maintain delving deeper.
